febi UK invests in automated warehouse technology

Due to its continuous growth, febi UK has invested in three automated storage and picking units.

Seeking a future-proof logistical solution, febi purchased the Kardex Shuttle XP, which is a high density and dynamic vertical storage and picking system. It ultimately brings the part to the picker rather than the picker going to the part thereby providing immense advantages, such as increased picking speed, space saving and minimum picking errors.

The £200,000 investment has been installed in September and is now fully integrated into day-to-day warehouse routines.

With this investment, febi UK ensures that despite an ever increasing number of orders and order volumes, the level of service febi provides will actually continue to improve.
